Smoked Maple Glazed Donuts

Ingredients

flour

granulated sugar

brown sugar

baking soda

buttermilk

maple extract
Maple Glaze for Donuts

teaspoon
maple extract or vanilla extract will work in a pinch

cup
whole milk
1 ½

powdered sugar
Instructions
-oven and smoker temp and times are the same-
Preheat the smoker to 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
Get out and measure all of your ingredients.
In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, brown sugar, and baking soda.
Stir until blended.
In a separate bowl, combine buttermilk, egg, melted butter, and maple extract.
Whisk is incorporated.
Combine wet and dry ingredients in one large mixing bowl.
Whisk until smooth.
Transfer mix into a piping bag, or a resealable bag with the corner cut off.
Pipe the batter into the donut molds.
There is enough batter for 24 donuts.
Place directly onto the grill grates.
Close the lid.
Cook for 25 minutes.
In a small saucepan, combine whole milk and vanilla paste. Heat for 3 minutes over high heat.
Remove from heat and whisk in the powdered sugar.
Whisk until smooth.
Dip the donuts into the glaze then place onto a wire rack lined baking sheet.
Allow glaze to harden, about 10 minutes. Try taking a bite!
Enjoy every moment.
Serve.
Store in an airtight container.
Notes
If you are baking these Maple Glazed Donuts instead of smoking them, bake them for 17 - 22 minutes or until they are done all the way through.
