Gather together and measure your ingredients.
Set smoker to 180° and preheat with lid closed for 15 minutes.
Prep all the ingredients. Slice avocados in half and remove the pit. Slice jalapeños in half and remove the seeds. Coarsely chop garlic cloves. Dice red onions and tomatoes. Juice the limes.
Pour lime juice into a shallow baking dish or foil sheet pan.
Add in the garlic.
Place juice into the smoker along with the jalaapeno halves placed cut side up directly onto the grill grates. Smoke for 30 minutes.
After the lime juice and jalapeños have been smoking for 15 minutes, place the avocados directly onto the grill grates cut side up. Smoke for 15 minutes.
Remove avocados, jalapeños, and lime juice from the grill and let cool for 10 minutes.
Finely mince jalapeños
Peel avocados and add into a large bowl.
Mash the avocados.
Next, add in all the remaining ingredients.
Stir to combine.
Serve with tortilla chips.
