Prepare a 9x13-inch pan by greasing it lightly with butter or non-stick spray, or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
In a large pot over low heat, melt the butter until fully liquefied.
Stir in the marshmallow cream, mixing until smooth and fully melted.
Add the vanilla extract and salt, stirring to combine.
Remove the pot from the heat and immediately fold in the Rice Krispies cereal, mixing until evenly coated with the marshmallow mixture.
Transfer the mixture to the prepared pan and press it evenly into place with a greased spatula.
Allow the treats to cool for at least 30 minutes before cutting into squares.
Serve and enjoy, storing leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
