Korean Beef Bowls

I love a good Korean beef bowl. It is one of my favorite meals to make when I want something fast, healthy and delicious.

Ingredients

Chili Mayonnaise

  • ¾ cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup Asian chili sauce
  • ¼ teaspoon lime juice

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400*
  • Chop the green onions. Set aside 2 stalks for adding to the beef bowls once cooked.
  • In a large bowl, combine the soy sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, red pepper flakes, 1 tablespoon Asian chili sauce, ground ginger, and minced garlic. Add the beef, green onions, and panko bread crumbs. Using your hands, mix until well combined.
  • Divide the mixture into 4 portions. Form a ball with each portion, then flatten into a patty. Use a ramekin to shape beef into a bowl.
  • Place each beef bowl onto a baking sheet face down, using an oven safe ramekin to hold its shape. Cover with foil. Put in the oven on the center rack and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil covering and flip the beef bowls over, removing the ramekins. Add ¼ cup shredded pepper jack cheese to each bowl and place back in the oven for 5 minutes, or until melted.
