Ingredients

  • 12 Hawaiian slider rolls still connected
  • ¼ cup hot sauce
  • ¾ cup honey
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 6-8 breaded chicken tenders prepared and still warm, or enough to cover sliders
  • 2 cups dill pickle chips or sweet pickle relish
  • 4 tablespoons butter melted, divided
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons parsley chopped

Instructions

  • Bake chicken tenders according to package directions. Once baked, leave your oven on and set to 350°F. Prepare a 9x13 casserole dish with nonstick spray.
  • Slice the slider buns in half (keep them connected). Place bottom half, cut side up, in casserole dish and brush with extra melted butter.
  • Bake for 5 minutes and set aside.
  • In a large heavy-bottom non-stick skillet, combine the hot sauce, honey, and brown sugar. Stir and cook over medium heat until well combined and smooth.
  • Place your warm chicken tenders into the hot honey sauce and flip them until each one is well coated.
  • Grab your casserole dish with bottom buns and add hot honey-coated chicken tenders, drizzle any extra hot honey sauce over them, add pickle chips, and then bun tops.
  • In a small bowl, combine your melted butter with the garlic powder and brush it over the bun tops.
  • Bake, uncovered, for 15-20 minutes or until the tops are toasted and the sliders are heated throughout. Sprinkle with parsley and serve.

Notes

  • Use fresh buns: Keeps sliders soft and fluffy
  • Use crispy chicken tenders: Prevents soggy sliders and adds texture
  • Don’t overcook chicken: Keeps it juicy and tender
  • Adjust spice level: Add more or less hot sauce to taste
  • Use quality honey: Improves overall flavor
  • Toast buns lightly: Adds structure and prevents sogginess
  • Don’t overload sauce: Too much can make sliders messy
  • Brush butter evenly: Ensures golden, flavorful tops
  • Bake uncovered: Helps keep the tops crisp
  • Serve warm: Best texture and flavor when fresh
