Ingredients

  • 12 Hawaiian slider rolls still connected
  • ¼ cup hot sauce
  • ¾ cup honey
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 6-8 breaded chicken tenders prepared and still warm, or enough to cover sliders
  • 2 cups dill pickle chips or sweet pickle relish
  • 4 tablespoons butter melted, divided
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons parsley chopped

Instructions

  • Bake chicken tenders according to package directions. Once baked, leave your oven on and set to 325°F or 350°F, depending on whether you're toasting your buns or not.

Toast Buns (optional but recommended)

  • Preheat your oven to 325°F or 350°F. (350°F is standard, but 325°F gives more control and prevents over-browning)
  • Slice the slider buns in half (keep them connected). Place slider buns cut side up on a baking sheet and lightly brush with extra melted butter.
  • Bake slider buns for about 5 minutes, until they are light golden brown. Allow to cool slightly before adding filling. Place the bottom half of your sliders into the bottom of your casserole dish.

Making Sliders

  • Make sure oven temperature is 350°F. Spray a 9x13 casserole dish lightly with nonstick spray.
  • In a large heavy-bottom non-stick skillet, combine the hot sauce, honey, and brown sugar or try our hot honey sauce. Stir and cook over medium heat until well combined and smooth.
  • Place your warm chicken tenders into the hot honey sauce and flip them until each one is well coated.
  • Slice and place the bottom half of your sliders into the bottom of your casserole dish.
  • Layer your ingredients over the bottom buns, starting with the hot honey-coated chicken tenders, drizzle any extra hot honey sauce over them, then the pickle chips, and finally place the bun tops on last.
  • In a small bowl, combine your melted butter with the garlic powder and brush it over the bun tops.
  • Bake in your preheated oven uncovered for 15-20 minutes or until the tops are toasted and the sliders are heated throughout. Sprinkle with parsley.
  • Slice the sliders and serve!

Notes

  • Use fresh buns: Keeps sliders soft and fluffy
  • Use crispy chicken tenders: Prevents soggy sliders and adds texture
  • Don’t overcook chicken: Keeps it juicy and tender
  • Adjust spice level: Add more or less hot sauce to taste
  • Use quality honey: Improves overall flavor
  • Toast buns lightly: Adds structure and prevents sogginess
  • Don’t overload sauce: Too much can make sliders messy
  • Brush butter evenly: Ensures golden, flavorful tops
  • Bake uncovered: Helps keep the tops crisp
  • Serve warm: Best texture and flavor when fresh
