Instructions

  • Pat the chicken wings and flats dry with a paper towel and then place them in a large bowl. Add the Old Bay seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and baking powder over the wings (about 1 teaspoon per pound).
  • Drizzle with olive oil and toss until the wings are evenly coated with the seasoning mixture.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 390°F (200°C) for 5 minutes and then arrange the seasoned wings in a single layer in the preheated air fryer basket, ensuring they are not overcrowded. Air fry the wings for 25-30 minutes until they are crispy and golden brown, shaking the basket halfway through cooking for even browning.
  • In a small bowl, combine the melted unsalted butter with minced garlic.
  • Once cooked, transfer the wings to a large bowl. Pour the buttery garlic sauce over the cooked wings, tossing them gently to coat evenly. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley over the wings and toss again to ensure an even coating.
  • Transfer the wings to a serving platter and season with salt and black pepper to taste. Serve your air fryer garlic parmesan chicken wings hot as a delicious appetizer or main dish with a side of your favorite sauce.

Notes

  • Pat Dry the Chicken: Ensure the chicken wings are thoroughly dried before seasoning. This will help them achieve maximum crispiness during cooking.
  • Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheating the air fryer helps to promote even cooking and crispiness from the start.
  • Don't Overcrowd the Basket: Arrange the wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving space between each piece so as to allow the air in the air fryer to circulate evenly.
  • Shake the Basket: Shake the air fryer basket halfway through cooking to ensure that the wings cook evenly and achieve a golden-brown color on all sides.
  • Check for Doneness: Use a meat thermometer to ensure the internal temperature of the wings reaches 165°F (74°C) for safe consumption.
