Add your heavy cream and vanilla to a large mixing bowl. Using an electric hand mixer, beat the cream for 3-5 minutes until it begins to form stiff peaks. Start your hand mixer on a low speed and work your way up to a high speed as the cream thickens to prevent it from splattering.
Once the cream begins to form freestanding peaks, add the condensed milk, peanut butter, and crushed M&M’s. Reduce your hand mixer to a low speed and gently whisk the ingredients together until smooth and homogenous.
Transfer your ice cream to a 9x5 inch pan and tightly cover it with plastic wrap. Allow your ice cream to set in the freezer for about 6 hours, or until the top of the ice cream feels firm to the touch.
Allow your ice cream to soften on the counter for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!
- Storing Ice Cream. Make sure it's covered well and it will keep for up to 2 months.
- No Loaf Pan? If you don't have a loaf pan, you can use any airtight, plastic container with a lid if you don’t have a loaf pan when making the ice cream.
- Crunchy Peanut Butter: Feel free to use it instead for a more crunchy texture and peanut flavor.
