- ½ cup unsalted butter
- 3 garlic cloves minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper or more to taste
- 1 tablespoon honey
Melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat.
Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring frequently, until fragrant.
Whisk in the lemon juice, lemon zest, salt, black pepper, and honey until smooth.
Simmer for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly, to blend the flavors.
Remove from heat and toss immediately with freshly cooked wings or use as a dipping sauce.
- Make a slurry with cornstarch and water if you want a slightly thicker lemon sauce for your chicken.
- Store any leftover lemon pepper wing sauce in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
