Smoked Chicken Tacos
Used apple wood to smoke
Smoked at 230* for approximately 3 hours, or until chicken reaches 165*.
Removed and shredded chicken, added sliced peppers and smoked for an additional 30 minutes.

- 1 pound chicken breasts or chicken thighs boneless, skinless - 4
- 2 cups salsa
- 3 tablespoon taco seasoning or 1 package
- 2 cups peppers green, yellow, orange or red, sliced
- 8 soft flour tortillas
Gather all your ingredients needed.
Sprinkle with salt and pepper if desired.
Place your chicken breasts in a foil pan.
Sprinkle or rub taco seasoning onto your chicken breasts.
Pour on your salsa over your chicken breasts.
Smoke your chicken breasts at 230 degrees for 3 hours or until your chicken reaches the internal temperature of 165 degrees.
Once your chicken reaches 165 degrees internally, remove the chicken from your smoker and shredded with two forks.
Return the shredded chicken to the foil pan.
Add in sliced bell peppers and return to the foil pan.
Return your pan to the smoker and smoke for an additional 30 minutes or until your bell peppers start to soften.
Spoon about ⅔ cup of chicken and pepper mixture into the center of each tortilla and add your toppings.
