Slow Cooker Turkey Legs

This easy recipe for Slow Cooker Turkey Legs is a must-try dinner. The turkey stays moist and juicy while taking on tremendous flavor from all of the spices.

  • Prepare the slow cooker with a light coating of cooking spray.
  • Brush the turkey legs with olive oil and set aside.
  • In a small bowl, combine the dried seasonings and stir until well mixed.
  • Rub the entire mixture over each side of the turkey legs.
  • Transfer the seasoned legs into the prepared slow cooker.
  • Pour 2 cups of water in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  • Cover the pot and cook for 3-4 hours on high or 6-8 hours on low. 
  • Remove legs from slow cooker and transfer to serving platter.
  • Optional: Place under the broiler for a few minutes to brown the skin, if desired.
  • Serve with fresh parsley as garnish.

Notes

  • Temp the thickest part: When checking the doneness of the turkey legs with a thermometer, insert it into the thickest part and try to avoid touching the bone for accuracy.
  • Let them rest: Allow the cooked turkey legs to rest for about 10 minutes before serving. This lets the juices redistribute preventing the meat from becoming dry.
