Slow Cooker Hot Dogs

These Crock Pot Hot Dogs are an ideal party food for any occasion. If you want to save time while feeding a crowd, I highly recommend throwing some hot dogs in the slow cooker.

Ingredients

  • 24 hot dogs beef, turkey, or your favorite variety

Optional

  • hot dog buns toppings (ketchup, mustard, relish, etc.)

Instructions

  • Stand the hot dogs upright in the slow cooker, stacking them vertically to fit as many as you need. You can also lay them down horizontally if preferred.
  • Cover with the lid and cook on high for 2 hours or low for 4 hours until heated through.
  • About halfway through cooking, use tongs to gently move the hot dogs around. This helps them cook evenly, especially if you're layering a lot of them.
  • Once hot, switch the slow cooker to warm and serve directly from the pot.

Notes

  • The size of your crock pot will determine how many crock pot hot dogs you can make.
  • Avoid overcooking them because it will cause them to split and shrivel.
  • You may safely leave the hot dogs in the crock pot on the warm setting for up to 4 hours.
