Shamrock Sour

Ingredients

  • 2 ½ ounces Jameson whiskey
  • 1 ounce lime juice freshly squeezed
  • ½ ounce lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 tablespoon simple syrup
  • 1 drop green food coloring
  • ice

Instructions

  • Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and add all ingredients.
  • Shake until chilled and strain into a glass with ice.

Notes

  • You may prepare a pitcher of this shamrock sour cocktail for a crowd and keep it chilled in the refrigerator. Leave out the ice and only use it for serving!
  • Add the food color gradually so you have better control over how green your drink is.
  • After adding the ingredients of the cocktail to the shaker with ice, it must be poured and served immediately to prevent melted ice from diluting it.
