Ingredients

  • 12 Hawaiian slider rolls still connected
  • 1 ½ pounds deli sliced roast beef
  • 9 slices provolone cheese or more for top layer
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons poppy seeds

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and lightly spray an 9x13-inch casserole dish with nonstick cooking spray. Slice the connected slider rolls in half and place the bottom half in the prepared dish. Bake for 5 minutes.
  • Layer the provolone cheese over the bottom buns, followed by the rolled roast beef and then more provolone cheese, if desired. Place the top half of the rolls over the cheese.
  • In a small bowl, stir together the melted butter, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Brush the mixture over the tops of the rolls, then sprinkle evenly with poppy seeds.
  • Bake uncovered for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown, the cheese is melted, and the sliders are heated through. Slice into individual sliders and serve warm.

Notes

  • Toast the Bottom Buns: Give the bottom half of the rolls the full 5-minute pre-bake before adding the filling. This gives them a sturdier base so they hold up better under the roast beef and cheese.
  • Layer for the Best Melt: Placing cheese around the roast beef helps hold the filling together and gives you plenty of melted cheese throughout each slider.
  • Use Thinly Sliced Beef: Deli-style roast beef is easier to layer and bite through than thick slices. Arrange it loosely rather than packing it down so the sliders stay tender.
  • Coat the Tops Evenly: Brush the garlic-Worcestershire butter all the way to the edges of the rolls so every slider gets the same savory, golden finish.
  • Watch the Final Minutes: Bake just until the cheese is melted, the filling is heated through, and the tops are golden. If the buns brown too quickly,
