  • Add cream cheese to a bowl. Mix at medium speed with a hand mixer until the cream cheese is fluffy and smooth.
  • Add the pumpkin puree, pudding, maple syrup, spices, and vanilla extract. Mix with the hand mixer at medium speed.
  • Add the whipped topping. Gently fold with a spatula until fully combined. Chill for at least an hour before serving.

Notes

  • Gently fold in the Cool Whip until just combined. Mixing too vigorously can make the dip thin instead of creamy and fluffy. 
  • Let the fluff chill for at least an hour—longer is even better. If you can make it the night before, the flavor only improves. 
  • Don’t substitute pumpkin purée with pumpkin pie filling. It’s already sweetened and spiced, which will throw off the balance and make the fluff overly sweet.
