Add cream cheese to a bowl. Mix at medium speed with a hand mixer until the cream cheese is fluffy and smooth.
Add the pumpkin puree, pudding, maple syrup, spices, and vanilla extract. Mix with the hand mixer at medium speed.
Add the whipped topping. Gently fold with a spatula until fully combined. Chill for at least an hour before serving.
- Gently fold in the Cool Whip until just combined. Mixing too vigorously can make the dip thin instead of creamy and fluffy.
- Let the fluff chill for at least an hour—longer is even better. If you can make it the night before, the flavor only improves.
- Don’t substitute pumpkin purée with pumpkin pie filling. It’s already sweetened and spiced, which will throw off the balance and make the fluff overly sweet.
