Ingredients

  • 1 18–20 ounce box brownie mix, plus ingredients called for on the box (usually eggs, oil, and water)
  • 3 large eggs
  • cup light corn syrup
  • cup brown sugar packed
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups pecan halves

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch pan or line with parchment paper.
  • Prepare the brownie mix according to the package instructions. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan.
  • Whisk together eggs, corn syrup, brown sugar, melted butter, and vanilla in a large bowl until smooth. Stir in the pecans until fully coated.
  • Carefully spoon the pecan mixture evenly over the top. Spread gently with a spatula if needed.
  • Place the pan in the oven and bake for 30–35 minutes, until the pecan topping is golden and set.
  • Cool completely on a wire rack before slicing into bars.
