Ingredients

  • 12 Hawaiian slider rolls still connected
  • 1 pound deli sliced turkey or leftover
  • 1 pound deli sliced ham or leftover
  • 1 ½ cup shredded Swiss cheese or 9 slices of Swiss cheese or cheddar, provolone, mozzarella, or gruyere
  • ½ cup seedless raspberry jelly plus more for dipping, or strawberry jelly
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard or yellow mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 large egg
  • ¼ cup powder sugar

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F and lightly spray a 9x13-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Slice the slider rolls in half horizontally while keeping them connected. Place the bottom half in the prepared baking dish and bake for 5 minutes.
  • Arrange the turkey evenly over the rolls, followed by the ham and Swiss cheese. Spread the raspberry jelly over the cheese and place the top buns on the sliders.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and egg until smooth.
  • Brush the mixture evenly over the tops of the rolls. Bake uncovered for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown, heated through, and the cheese has melted.
  • Remove from the oven and generously dust with powdered sugar. Slice into individual sliders and serve warm with extra raspberry jelly for dipping.

Notes

  • Start with the right ingredients: Keep the rolls connected for easy assembly, use quality deli turkey and ham, and shred your own Swiss cheese for the best flavor and melt.
  • Layer carefully: Spread the raspberry jelly evenly and avoid overfilling the sliders so they're easier to slice and serve.
  • Bake for success: Toast the bottom buns first to help prevent sogginess, brush the topping evenly over every roll, and watch the bake time carefully to avoid drying out the meat.
  • Finish just before serving: Dust with powdered sugar right before serving so it doesn't melt into the warm sliders.
  • Serve like a classic Monte Cristo: Offer extra raspberry jelly on the side for dipping and an authentic sweet-and-savory experience.
