- 8 slices Hawaiian sweet bread
- 3 large eggs
- ¼ cup milk
- 1 mango pureed
Begin heating a large skillet over low-medium heat.
In a small mixing bowl, beat eggs, milk, and pureed mango.
Dredge each slice in the egg mixture, allowing it to soak for about 5 seconds.
Allow excess egg mixture to drip off and place dredged slices in your heated, greased skillet.
Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side or until they are golden brown.
Serve with toppings of your choice. (fruit, syrup, whipped cream, etc.)
- Preheat the skillet on low-medium heat to avoid burning the french toast slices.
- Use a non-stick skillet to ensure that the french toast doesn't stick and burns evenly.
- Soak each slice of bread in the egg mixture for about 5 seconds for maximum flavor infusion.
- Add butter or oil to your heated skillet before adding bread slices to prevent sticking and add extra flavor during the cooking process.
- Flip once after 3 minutes and then again at 4 minutes or when golden brown on one side, so as to not overcook on one side while leaving the other side undercooked.
- Ensure all ingredients are at room temperature before combining together so they mix more easily.
- Make sure you have enough eggs/milk in relation to the amount of mango puree used. The ratio should be approximately 3 eggs to ¼ cup milk and 1 mango.
