In a large bowl, combine the whipped topping, yogurt, and lemon pie filling. Stir until smooth, creamy, and fully blended.
Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld and develop.
Gently fold in the mini marshmallows until evenly coated in the lemon mixture.
Keep the lemon fluff covered in the refrigerator until ready to serve. Just before serving, garnish with additional mini marshmallows and lemon slices, if desired. Serve chilled and enjoy!
- Makes about 6 ½ cups of fluff
- Add toppings last: Add lemon slices, lemon zest, if using, and a sprinkling of marshmallows before serving to keep presentation fresh.
- Chill before serving: Refrigerate for at least 1 hour, but 2 to 4 hours is ideal. It allows the flavors to fully blend and gives the fluff its perfect creamy texture.
- Use full-fat yogurt: Creates a richer, smoother consistency compared to low-fat versions.
- Add marshmallows before serving: Prevents them from dissolving and keeps their soft texture intact.
- Use cold ingredients: Helps maintain the fluffy structure and prevents separation.
- Don’t overmix: Fold gently, don’t stir as overmixing can deflate the whipped topping and make it runny instead of light and airy.
- Taste before chilling: Adjust sweetness or tanginess to your preference early.
- Let it rest longer if possible: A few extra hours in the fridge improves flavor and thickness.
