Ingredients

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  • Melt your butter in a microwave safe dish. Start with about 30 seconds and then continue adding 15 seconds until the butter is completely melted.
  • Whisk together the melted butter, honey, hot sauce, chili powder, and red pepper flakes until blended.
  • Using a large bowl, drizzle butter glaze over pretzels and gently toss using a spatula. Make sure they are all evenly coated.
  • Transfer the pretzels to a 9x13 inch baking pan and cook for 12 minutes, tossing at 6 minute mark. Let your pretzels cool for a few minutes before transferring them to a serving bowl.

Notes

  • Storage: Refrigeration is not necessary. Cooled pretzels are best stored at room temperature in an airtight container or resealable bag for up to 5 days.
  • Whisk the glaze well: A fully mixed glaze keeps the honey, butter, and hot sauce from separating and every pretzel gets consistent flavor.
  • Use a big bowl: This gives you enough space to toss the pretzels and ensures even coating.
  • Cube the butter before melting: Smaller pieces melt faster and more evenly.
  • Fold pretzels gently: This keeps the pretzels from breaking while covering them in the sweet and spicy glaze.
  • Don’t overbake: Ovens vary, check at the ten minute mark so pretzels don't darken too much and burn.
