Chipotle Lime Dip

Chipotle lime dip is cool, cream, and packs a bit of heat all at the same time. This chipotle lime sauce is perfect as a dip or topping.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 4 green onions sliced thin
  • 1 tablespoon garlic minced
  • 4 chipotle chiles in adobo minced or about 1 heaping tablespoon
  • ½ teaspoon adobo sauce from can of chipotle peppers
  • 1 tablespoon lime zest grated
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice

Instructions

  • Get out and measure your ingredients.

  • In a medium sized mixing bowl combine mayo, sour cream, green onions, garlic, chipotle chiles, adobo sauce, lime zest and juice.

  • Stir until creamy and well blended.
  • Store refrigerated in an airtight container for at least 2-3 hours before serving, even longer the better, and up to 3 days total. Including the day you made it.

  • Serve with sweet potato fries, sliced vegetables like cucumber, peppers, celery, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower and so much more.

Notes

  • Mix your dip extremely thoroughly to ensure it's completely blended.
  • The longer your chill this dip, the better. That chilling process is what allows all the flavors to meld together so well.
