This Easy Cheesy Pepperoni Pizza Dip recipe, made with cream cheese, pizza sauce and loaded with pepperoni, surrounded by bread that's perfect for dipping!
Cook pepperoni in your cast-iron skillet until crisp, about 5 minutes. Transfer to a paper towel covered plate and set aside.
Add oil to skillet, over medium to medium high heat, and wait until it shimmers or a drop of water flicked in it dances. Add garlic and stir off heat for about 30 seconds.
Transfer garlic and oil to a small bowl and set aside.
Place your defrosted dough on lightly floured work surface. Press and roll into a square about 8 inches by 8 inches.
Cut dough into approximately 30 pieces.
Working with one piece of dough at a time, roll into a tight ball. Dip into your garlic oil and place along the inside edge of your skillet.
Keep the center of the skillet clear for the dip mixture. Place remaining dough balls on top of the first layer, in the seams of the dough, creating another layer, around the edge of your skillet. Cover with greased plastic wrap and set aside for about 20 minutes.
Remove your plastic wrap.
Bake for 20 minutes, when the rolls are starting to brown.
In the meantime, using a handheld mixer, in a medium sized bowl, combine cream cheese and pizza sauce.
Add in your shredded cheese and about ¾ of the cooked pepperoni.
Stir until incorporated.
Add cheesy mixture to the center of your skillet.
Bake for another 10 minutes.
Dip will be hot and buns an even more golden brown color. Sprinkle remaining pepperoni on top of dip
Serve.
Enjoy every bite.
