- 1 box (16 oz) bowtie pasta rotini, penne or your favorite short pasta shape
- 1 ½ cups cherry tomatoes halved, reserve a few for topping, or grape tomatoes or chopped tomatoes
- 2 cups chopped lettuce salad mix or chopped romaine or head lettuce (iceberg)
- 1 pound bacon cooked and chopped, plus more for topping
- ½ large red onion diced
- 1 ½ cups ranch dressing
In a large non-stick pot, cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside while you prepare the other ingredients.
In a large bowl, mix the pasta, cherry tomatoes, lettuce salad mix, bacon, and red onion.
Gradually add the ranch dressing to the pasta mixture and fold it in well until completely incorporated.
Chill for thirty minutes to one hour.
Add some tomatoes and bacon to top of salad right before serving.
