Chocolate Chip Toffee Cake

This Chocolate Chip Toffee Cake is amazing! The chocolate, toffee crust on top is so tasty, especially warm, with or without ice or whipped cream!

  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 cups brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla


  • 1 cup reserved crumbs
  • 1 cup toffee bits
  • 1 cup chocolate chips


  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Prepare a 13x9 inch pan with cooking spray and set aside. 

  3. In a large bowl combine flour and brown sugar.

  4. Add butter and using a fork or your fingers cut in until the mixture resembles crumbs.

  5. Remove 1 cup of the crumbs and set aside. 

  6. Add egg, milk, salt, 1/2 cup toffee bits, 1/2 cup chocolate chips, vanilla and baking soda.

  7. Stir or beat until blended.

  8. Dump mixture into your prepared pan.

  9. Combine and sprinkle reserved crumbs, 1/2 cup toffee bits and 1/2 cup chocolate chips all over the top of the cake.

  10. Bake for 35-40 minutes or a toothpick inserted into the cake comes out clean. Serve warm or cool. Enjoy!
