    This Cheesy Barbecue Bacon Chicken Breast recipe is hard to resist covered in cheese, barbecue sauce and bacon. This easy dinner is a big hit every time!

    Cheesy Barbecue Bacon Chicken Breast

    Equipment

    • Measuring cups and spoons
    • rimmed baking sheet
    • spatula
    • large skillet
    • paper towel
    • Tongs

    Ingredients
      

    • 4 skinless chicken breast
    • 1 cup barbecue sauce -
    • 2 bacon crumbled or chopped
    • 1 cup cheddar, shredded or grated
    • ¾ cup crispy fried onions
    • cooking spray

    Instructions
     

    • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Prepare a rimmed baking sheet with tin foil and cooking spray. Set aside. In a medium sized bowl pour enough barbecue sauce to coat all four breasts, usually about 1 cup. Add chicken and toss until coated.
    • Place coated chicken breasts on top of your prepared pan. Bake for 45 minutes or cooked. Baste chicken with extra sauce at least once during baking.
    • Cook bacon until crisp while chicken is baking. Drain on paper towel and set aside.
    • Remove chicken from oven and turn it up to broil. Place some crispy fried onions on top of chicken, then sprinkle with cheese. Bake until cheese is melted and starts to brown. Add crumbled or chopped baconon top of cheese as soon as you remove chicken from the oven. Serve immediately. Enjoy!
