I wish that wasn’t the case because then there would be more pineapple leftover for me! All kidding aside, this Baked Brazilian Pineapple recipe should be on every pineapple lovers bucket list!
This Baked Brazilian Pineapple is the perfect summer dessert! You can even throw this coated pineapple in a tinfoil pan and cook it on the grill! You cook it exactly the same way that you do in the oven, except it is from your grill! My son even made it on a campfire and said it was absolutely delicious! I believe him! I think it is impossible for this pineapple to not turn out delicious, no matter how it is made!

Baked Brazilian Pineapple
- 1 pineapple, peeled, cored and cut into spears
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1-3 tsp cinnamon, ground, more or less to taste
- 2-4 tblsp butter, cold, cubed
- cooking spray
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Prepare a rimmed baking sheet with tinfoil and a light coating of cooking spray. Set aside.
Combine brown sugar and cinnamon in a large resealable bag. Add the pineapple spears, close the bag tightly, and shake it so that the cinnamon and brown sugar totally coat the spears. Press sugar mixture onto spears as you remove from bag and place on prepared baking sheet in a single layer.
Place tiny butter cubes across the top of the pineapple spears. At 10 and 20 minutes flip pineapple spears over into melted sugar on the baking sheet. Bake until pineapple juices bubble, 25-30 minutes. Enjoy!
We also have made these Brazilian Cheese Puffs that we discovered at the same restaurant. They are the most fantastic little cheesy, garlic bread balls! So addictive and just so good, almost too good for words! You might also want to take a peek at them as well!
